-A point of reference to how much Luna has evolved over the development process. In a way, I wanted Luna's outfit to reflect her personality, which is pretty cheerful and bubbly. This is why there weren't many sharp, hard edges or shapes in her earlier designs. However, considering how tough she is, especially in combat, I wanted to streamline things a bit more and not have things too exaggerated.
-A lot of accessories and design elements were removed due to the fact they didn't exactly serve any purpose, and to be honest would be a pain to constantly redraw ("work smarter not harder.") I also wanted to sell the fact that she is a fighter simply from how she looked, which explains the strong emphasis on the bandages and lack of elements covering and restraining her. Overall, the current balance in elements should last a good while in the series.
